Feeling vs. Doing
You cannot make yourself feel something you do not feel, but you can make yourself do right in spite of your feelings.
—Pearl S. Buck
Is there someone in your life, perhaps a relative or co-worker, who gets on your nerves or whom you dislike? Others may get along with the person just fine, causing you to tell yourself, “I shouldn’t feel the way I do.”
Nonsense. You can feel any way you like. All that’s required of you is that you act in a civilized manner.
Affirmation: All my feelings, even the negative ones, are acceptable as long as I am responsible in my actions.
